Good morning Mike, I want to apologize for not immediately recognizing you yesterday morning the day after the Clipper / Mavericks game 2.
My wife and I saw you in the Marriott lobby when we crossed paths and you greeted us with a big smile and said something about being Dallas fans knowing we were dressed in Clipper gear.
Wish more celebrities were as friendly as you.

Mike, I found an apparently archived blog post an photo on your site of you and Gigi and left a reply to Ken Tecsa there. Don’t know if it actually got posted, so I am gonna try to post it again below. Great to find this site and find out about all the great work you’ve done over the years. Am living in the Philippines, teaching online, so kinda out of touch. Be great if you could somehow put me in touch w. some of our frat/team mates. In the meantime, check the below, which will no doubt jog some old memories of your own.

Hey Ken, yah gotta remember me – Alex Blonna. I was a scrub who came off the streets of Newark with no high school football experience. I became somewhat infamous when somebody labelled me “Colonel Cox”, and in 1969, when we played Upsala at their home stadium in East Orange, someone from their side scrolled on a blackboard in the visiting team locker room, “Kill Colonel Cox and Cream the Kookoo Squad.” Of course, we kicked their butts in that game – hahaha.

Also, you may remember one scrimmage when you and me, somewhat embarrassed the starters when I kept faking out Kostecki, and you kept throwing the ball to me. A highlight of my “career” at MSC – hahaha.

Kuli got revenge when the line coach stuck me on the inside as a linebacker, and Kuli kept sending Al Avignone and I forget who, to double team us and beat me into the turf – Oh well, can’t win em all : )

Say hello to Tommy and any of my Agora frat bros if you are still in contact with them. In the meanwhile let me say “high” here to Mike, Gigi, Al, Kuli et. all. Good to know you that at least some of you guys are still out there.
