  1. Hi, “Czar!” How did you get this nickname?
I only became aware of you, your careers as NBA coach and then sportscaster (along with the interesting nickname) in the past month or so. What put you on my radar was a photo of you receiving an honor, accompanied by a couple of men all much taller than you. Being only 5′ 6″ , I relate to, identify with short fellows who are sharp dressers.
Sad to say, even though I now live in Tenn. (since 2008 as well as an earlier sojourn), I never pay attention to the NBA Grizzlies. In my younger years th Boston Celtics were “my team” and I also rooted for the Nuggets, (the former) Supersonics and the Trailblazers. In the 2002 to 2008 I lived in San Antonio; already a recent fan of the Spurs, their teamwork, character and 3 NBA crown made me the ardent fan that I remain!
Anyhow, I digress. Besides coaches and successes of the teams I named, I paid little heed to the rest of the NBA. My loss! I now wish I had found out about you while you coached. It would have fascinated me to observe interactions between tall NBA players and a coach who’s a “shorty” like me! LOL
So I’m compensating for my former ignorance by googling info about and photos of you my fellow “shorty”. The into is telling me you’re a fine guy and sportscaster as well as a successful former coach. The photos show you’re an impeccable dresser — your taste in necktie and suits is superb!
