Sesame Street premiered on PBS on November 10, 1969. Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson was the first of more than 20 athletes to appear on the show over the past four decades including basketball legend Dr. J, who showed that guys of any size can dunk – with a little help from a friend.
